Blues Webb

Andre “Blues” Webb is a masterful, multi-faceted drummer and vocalist.  Captivated by the  drums from the age of four, Blues cut his teeth in church, and won soloist of the year in the prestigious D.C. Public School Jazz Ensemble competition.

Following high school, Blues embarked on a musical career that has taken him all over the world.  He easily distinguishes himself from most drummers by his ability to hold a fat-pocketed groove, and then to turn around and display monstrous chops unique to each style he plays. Also distinctive is his ability to sing a stinging blues song, and then follow it with the unabashed emotion of a beautiful ballad.

Whether on a recording, television, or live,  Blues delivers each performance with effortless fluidity, and a dynamic drumming style and presence that are second to none. In an age of musical copy and paste, Blue Webb stands out on the world stage as a testament to individuality.

You’ve heard or seen Blues on recordings and concert tours with Billy Preston, Regina Bell, Eva Cassidy, Najee, Ken Navarro, Chuck Brown, BeBe & CeCe Winans, Yolanda Adams and Marcus Johnson just to name a few.
